Midrand SPCA burgled

The office of the SPCA in Midrand have been burgled, with the robbers fleeing with computers, cellular phones, electronic equipment, money and medical supplies.
Midrand SPCA chairperson Brenda Lucas says three men entered the premises under false pretences.
"The suspects arrived at the Midrand SPCA and requested assistance with an unwanted animal.
"The three men entered the property, tied up the SPCA employee and held him at gunpoint while the offices were raided."
No one was injured.
The Midrand SPCA has made an appeal for donations in the wake of the robbery.
"Members of the public are requested to consider in-kind or monetary donations to the Midrand SPCA to assist them through this difficult time," says Lucas.
