Minor arrested for murder of girlfriend
A 17 year-old suspect has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend in Motetema near Groblersdal in Limpopo.
Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect was arrested following the discovery of the 15 year-old girl's body.
"The deceased was found by a passer-by on top of the Tafelkop Mountain. She had multiple injuries on her body," says Ngoepe.
Ngoepe says the suspect was arrested after preliminary investigations connected him to the incident.
"The motive behind this incident is not clear at this stage but police are investigating the allegation that the suspect was forcing the deceased to abort a pregnancy," says Ngoepe.

Ngoepe says both the deceased and suspect attended the same school in Motetema.
"The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nneke Ledwaba has noted this incident with shock and disbelief, especially considering the brutality that characterised the murder and the age of both the victim and the suspect."
