Miss SA pageant postponed to ‘later date’
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
The Miss South Africa Organisation announced on Monday that the Miss South Africa pageant will be postponed from August to a later date in 2025.
In a short press release, the organisation said the decision was “to ensure greater alignment with international and other global events”.
“The organisation, through its affiliated companies, aims to broaden the reach and impact of the pageant and its contestants,” it added.
“The pillars of the organisation will be expanded to include entrepreneurship, job creation, cultural awareness and social cohesion.”
The postponement comes amid at least two high-profile resignations.
The Miss SA organisation recently announced that Stephanie Weil had stepped down as CEO, and Werner Wessels had also stepped down as creative director of Miss SA.
