Mkhondo farmers’ bail application to continue on Tuesday

The bail application of the five men accused of killing the Coka brothers was adjourned in the Piet Retief Magistrate’s Court in Mkhondo on Monday.
The fifth suspect Zenzele Patrick Yende (48) was arrested on Thursday and appeared briefly at the same court on Friday.
Brothers Zenzele and Mgcini Coka were brutally killed last week.
They were allegedly shot by local farm owners.

All five suspects are facing charges of kidnapping, attempted murder, two counts of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Mpumalanga Monica Nyuswa says Yende has been linked to the cases faced by the initial suspects.
The suspects will return to court on Tuesday for the continuation of their bail hearing.
