The court battle to halt Parliament’s processes looking into her fitness to hold office began in February but was halted because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, arguments continued in August.

Mkwebane’s bid was divided into two parts.

In Part A Mkhwebane wanted an interim interdict to suspend the removal process, and Part B related to declaring the rules for the removal of a Chapter 9 head unlawful, unconstitutional, invalid, and null and void.
