Reservoir levels rise as Mogale City teams race to restore full supply
Mogale City's water system is showing signs of recovery, with several reservoirs recording improved levels as technical teams continue working to stabilise supply in areas affected by recent disruptions.
The municipality says the Kagiso water system continues to recover, with pumping into the network resulting in gradual improvements.
The Kagiso Tower has recovered significantly, sitting at 71%, while the Kagiso Reservoir and Kagiso Extension 13 Reservoir are also showing steady gains.
Mogale City spokesperson Adrian Amod says the latest monitoring results show encouraging movement, with improvements recorded in previously affected areas.
"There's a lot of improvement, both Kenmare and Munsieville levels up and more areas receiving supply."
Amod says the municipality remains focused on ensuring that the water network continues to recover and that communities receive a more consistent supply.
"As Water Services continues to monitor the recovery of our water system, the latest operational update indicates steady progress, with some reservoirs showing improvement while others remain under pressure."
He says technical teams remain on the ground, particularly in areas where recovery has been slower than expected.
The municipality says the improved reservoir levels are allowing more areas to receive water, although residents are urged to continue using water sparingly while the system stabilises.
Water tankers remain deployed to affected communities, with deliveries prioritised according to requests received through ward councillors and MMC for Infrastructure.
Amod says the tanker support will continue as a temporary measure while infrastructure teams work towards full recovery.

The municipality says residents will continue receiving updates as monitoring of the water network progresses, with the focus remaining on restoring reliable supply across Mogale City.
