Mom arrested for forcing 2-year-old to smoke dagga and drink alcohol
A 21-year-old mother has been arrested for forcing her 2-year-old son to smoke dagga and consume alcohol.
The mother was arrested along with a 19-year-old accomplice.
Limpopo police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlalefa Mojapelo, says the suspects were arrested on Saturday at Rabai village in the Mphephu policing area.

“The suspects were arrested soon after the police accessed video clips that went viral on social media, showing the woman giving her son dagga to smoke and alcohol to consume.
“Her accomplice can be heard in the background persuading the little boy to indulge.”
The 2-year-old has since been removed and handed over to the grandmother for caregiving.
Both suspects will appear at the Dzanani Magistrates court on Monday for contravening the Children’s Act, 38 of 2005 ( Child Abuse).
