More damning allegations against Zuma, Radebe at Zondo commission
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Former national prosecutions head Mxolisi Nxasana has denied asking to vacate his office.
Nxasana concluded his testimony at the commission of inquiry into state capture on Monday, where he also revealed how former justice ministers Michael Masutha and Jeff Radebe allegedly lied about the allegations.
“These statement are not correct. The president (Jacob Zuma), his advisors, the ministers of justice, both Radebe and Masutha, if they still have a conscious, they know very well that there was no stage where I made request to vacate office.

“I deny that I made a request to vacate office,” said Nxasana.
Nxasana told the inquiry if he wanted to vacate office then he would have put in a formal request.
“I would have made the request in writing. Secondly, I wouldn’t have insisted being paid the remainder of my contract period because it doesn’t make sense because I am the one who wants to resign. And on the other hand I am making the demand that I want to be paid. I won’t do that chair. I don’t even think that the president would’ve agreed to that,” said Nxasana.
