More name changes on the cards for Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape Department of Sport, Arts and Culture will hold public hearings this week on proposed name changes that will affect Cradock in the Chris Hani District.
The department is considering a proposal that Cradock's name be changed to Inxuba Kaladokhwe, and part of the N2 around the town to be named after the late philanthropist Advocate Mthetheleli Ngumbela.
Departmental spokesperson Andile Nduna says the public hearings in the Amathole and Chris Hani Districts will take place from this Thursday and run through to next Wednesday.

He says the SA Geographical Names Council will also verify the process before it's gazetted for public comment.
There are also several other name changes on the cards, including Mooiplaas to Kwenxurha and Kei Bridge to Nciba.
