Polokwane mother found hanging from tree, 3-month-old baby dead
Police in Limpopo are investigating a case of murder after a mother and a three-month-old baby were found dead in Westernberg in Polokwane on Friday.
Provincial police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says they found the mother hanging from a tree close to a shack where they had lived.
Police then later discovered the body of the three-month-old baby inside the shack.
"At this stage, police believe that domestic violence might be the motive behind such a tragic incident," says Ngoepe.
He adds that the investigation will hopefully provide an indication of the motive behind the death of both the mother and the baby.
