Motorist leaves one cyclist dead before fleeing on foot
Police are searching for a motorist who ploughed into a group of cyclists on Friday morning, killing one.
Tshwane Metro Police Department spokesperson Isaac Mahamba says the driver left the car and fled the scene on the R55 near Olievenhoutbosch.
Two others were injured, including the passenger in the car.
Mahamba confirms the man's identity is known to police.
"We are appealing to him to hand him over to the police so that we can be able to obtain a statement from him as to get more information about what happened."
