Mpumalanga prison warden nabbed with drugs worth R1m

Mpumalanga police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala said an undisclosed amount cash found in the house was also confiscated.
A 37-year-old female prison warden has been arrested for possession of crystal meth, rock and heroine with a street value of R1 million in Emalahleni on Thursday.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala said an undisclosed amount cash found in the house was also confiscated.
“This morning we conducted an intelligence driven operation at a house inside Paxton prison premises in Witbank and found the drugs during the operation, we are investigating whether the drugs were sold to prisoners or elsewhere outside the prison.”
The suspect will appear before the Emalahleni Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
