Murdered Stella teens to be laid to rest
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
The funerals of the two girls murdered at Stella High School will take place on Friday.
A joint funeral will be held in Vryburg.
"The pain is great. Even the department is very much affected by what has happened," says North West Department of Education's Freddy Sepeng.
The community is in shock following the discovery of the bodies of 17-year old Sharnelle Hough and 16-year-old Marna Engelbrech at the agricultural school’s hostel on Saturday.
Hough’s ex-boyfriend has been arrested and charged with murder.

“The situation and emotions are tense. You'll remember that this is an unusual thing. People are very much worried. On Monday at the court, there were a lot of people trying to witness what was happening,” says Sepeng.
“We support the family and after the funerals today we will be paying them a visit again. They have requested to give them space for now until after the funerals. We respect their request.”
