NCC leader Fadiel Adams granted bail
Fadiel Adams has been granted bail of R10,000 by the Pinetown Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Adams is accused of interfering in the investigation into the 2017 murder of former African National Congress Youth League secretary-general and Umzimkhulu councillor Sindiso Magaqa.
The National Coloured Congress leader is accused of interfering in the investigation into the 2017 murder of former ANC Youth League secretary-general and Umzimkhulu councillor, Sindiso Magaqa.
He was arrested in the Western Cape last week.

When granting bail, Magistrate Gwendolyn Robinson set strict bail conditions.
" You are not to communicate with witnesses for the prosecution, namely members of the South African Police Services, whether it be the political task team members or other members, the members of the Durban Metro Police Services, employees of the Department of Correctional Services, and, as I've indicated, the members of the PKTT unit. You are to report in person to the charge office at Mitchells Plain Police Station."
Earlier, Robinson told Adams she wasn't impressed with his conduct.
" His contemptuous behaviour or attitude cannot be ignored. However, what this court must be mindful of is the ultimate fact that the state does have recourse in this regard. There are methods and ways in which the state can deal with this contemptuous behaviour."
Adams faces three counts of fraud and two of defeating the ends of justice.
The matter has been remanded to 14 August.
