Nehawu to picket against corruption in Pretoria
Updated | By ANA
The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) says its members will picket outside the department of public works’ offices in Pretoria on Friday.
Themba Gumede, the Regional Chairperson of Nehawu in Tshwane, said about 300 members of Nehawu and department employees were expected to picket at noon.
Gumede said union members and employees will “protest against massive corruption related to a lack of proper procurement and tendering procedures in leasing and property procurement, the recruitment of advertised posts alongtribal lines”.
“Nehawu is disturbed by the continuous sabotaging of public service delivery that is happening in the Pretoria Regional Office,” said Gumede.
