New Covid-19 cases rise by over 1 300, 59 new deaths

The number of Covid-19 cases in South Africa now stands at 1 574 370.
The Department of Health said on Saturday evening that 1 385 new coronavirus cases had been recorded since its previous report.
The death toll has climbed to 54 125, with 59 new deaths reported.
The majority of those deaths - 30 - were recorded in Gauteng, with 13 in KwaZulu Natal, 8 in the Free State, 5 in Limpopo and 3 in the Eastern Cape.
The country's recovery rate remains at 95%, with close to 20 000 active cases.
