New Covid-19 cases rise by over 13 000, 238 new deaths

The number of Covid-19 cases in South Africa now stands at 2 595 447.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases said on Saturday evening that 13 021 new coronavirus cases had been recorded since its previous report.
This increase represents a 21.6% positivity rate
The majority of new cases are from Western Cape (27%), followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 26%, while Gauteng accounted for 14% and the Eastern Cape 10%.
The death toll has climbed to 76 869, with 238 new coronavirus-related deaths reported.
There has been an increase of 378 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours.
By Saturday evening, close to 9,4 million vaccines had been administered nationwide.
