New Tshwane load shedding schedules
Updated | By Suné du Toit
The City of Tshwane on Thursday released a new updated load shedding schedule that will be introduced with effect from Monday 14 September 2015.
Unlike the previous schedules, the revised schedule is a 31 days monthly rotational schedule that will be implemented until further notice.
Consumers will now be rotated in different time slots from the 1st of every the month to the last day of the month. Every month the schedule will start on the 1stday, irrespectively of the number of days in any given month. Customers should take note that the hours have changed from even hours to uneven hours.
"Consumers should also please note that load shedding will be effected only when the instruction to shed load is received from Eskom. This means that load shedding starts with the group/s that is/are earmarked on the schedule at that specific time and day of the month," the city said in a statement.
For more information on load shedding, visit City of Tshwane website on www.tshwane.gov.za, where you will find which suburbs fall under under which groups.
