Nine people killed in Limpopo accident

The Department of Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo says nine people were killed following a horrific head-one crash on the Deerpark road.
The accident involved a bakkie and a kombi.
“It is alleged that the two vehicles collided head-on, killing nine people instantly. The deceased include the driver of the VW Amarok bakkie and eight passengers from the Toyota Quantum kombi. The accident happened at Nwanetsi bridge next to Kubjwana village in Bolobedu,” says the department in a statement.
Five people were rushed to Vanvelden hospital for medical treatment.
MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya, has sent condolences to the families the people killed in the accident
She has called on motorists to be cautious and reduce speed.
