Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
An investigation by the Department of Education in Mpumalanga has found food-borne illnesses in the food consumed by learners at the Nelson Ngubeni Primary School.
Two learners died last month after they fell ill at the school with symptoms similar to those of food poisoning.
The department's Jasper Zwane says they are confident that the food provided by the feeding scheme is safe for consumption.
