No VIPs involved in blue-light crash
Police say that no VIPs were involved in this morning's crash on the M1 near Marlboro Drive involving a blue-light convoy.
Police spokesperson Vish Naidoo says the crash occurred while the convoy was on its way to pick up a VIP.
It's not known who the VIP is.
"One member was injured when the vehicles collided with each other," says Naidoo.
Naidoo says the driver of the lead vehicle in the convoy was forced to slam on the brakes after a taxi veered into him.
"This suddenly resulted in one of the vehicles from the convoy colliding into the lead vehicle."
