Suspect arrested in Sandton shootout
One suspect was arrested.
Police are now on the hunt for three further suspects.
Spokesperson Kim Cloete says Metro Police and a security company saw two suspicious vehicles at a shopping centre in Norwood.
On approaching the vehicles, the suspects fled the scene.
A high-speed car chase ensued.
"The suspects in a silver Ford Ranger managed to escape. The other vehicle, a navy blue Polo, crashed at the Grayston Bridge. One of the occupants managed to flee," Cloete says
The suspect will appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on charges of reckless and negligent driving, possession of an unlicensed firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
