Outa accuses Dudu Myeni of stalling delinquent director court action
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) claims former South African Airways (SAA) chairperson Dudu Myeni is attempting to prolong court action to declare her a delinquent director.
This comes after Myeni’s defence team filed papers requesting a leave to appeal a high court ruling granting the organisation the legal right to apply to have her declared as a delinquent director.
The former chairperson and Outa are expected to meet in court on Monday.

Outa and the South African Airways Pilots’ Association (SAAPA) have embarked on a long-standing legal pursuit to declare Myeni delinquent for her misconduct during her tenure at SAA.
Myeni was chairperson of the embattled airline from December 2012 to October 2017.
Outa legal head Stefanie Fick says Myeni’s application to appeal the ruling has no merit.
“It is disappointing in the sense that is two days before this trail is supposed to start and we’ve received this type of interlocutory application.
“We are confident that we will be able to argue this matter and this matter will proceed on Monday.
“We do believe that their application has got no merit and one tends to forget that this matter is not going away and even if (and it’s a big ‘if’) they are successful this matter should proceed because SAAPA is still there.”
