Outlook not good, admits Eskom executive
Eskom has confirmed that Stage 4 load-shedding will be implemented on Tuesday.
The embattled power giant says the rolling blackouts will be implemented from 09:00 and continue until 23:00 on Tuesday.
“We will continue with stage four. Unfortunately we foresee stage four at this point in time up and till Tuesday maybe Wednesday as well,” says Eskom’s COO Jan Oberholzer.
Eskom is battling to contain capacity shortages.
“During stage 4 load-shedding, approximately 80% of the country’s demand is still being met,” the power utility said in a statement.
