Owner of pit bulls which killed Henneman toddler appears in court

The owner of two pit bulls which mauled three-year-old Keletso Innocent Saule in Henneman at the weekend has made his first appearance in court.
Saule died after he was attacked by two dogs in the Free State town on Sunday.
Lebohang Pali (21) was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with offences related to the Animals Amendments Act.
Police spokesperson Stephen Phakeng says Pali appeared in the Henneman Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

"The case has been postponed till Wednesday."
The toddler was mauled to death while playing with his friends outside a house and comes amid a renewed debate over the possible banning of the dogs as domestic pets.
Saule’s death came a week after another young boy was killed by a pit bull while playing outside his home in Bloemfontein.
