Parliament: Impossible to know how MPs voted
Parliament says there is no way for anyone to know how Members of Parliament voted during last week's motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma.
Between 20 and 30 African National Congress (ANC) MP's are thought to have voted in support of the motion, which took place by way of a secret ballot.
Calls for action to be taken against the MPs are growing within the party, with President Zuma saying disciplinary steps need to be taken.

There are also media reports suggesting the identities of the MPs are known to the party.
Parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo says this is impossible given the measures implemented by Parliament.
"The entire voting process was secretive. It was highly confidential and all measures were put in place to make sure that the identity of the voters and how they voted would never traced."

Mothapo says the only way that anyone could know how people voted, would be if the MPs divulged the information.
