Parts of Soshanguve dumped in the dark

Large parts of Soshanguve in the north of Tshwane have been left without electricity on Friday.
The City of Tshwane's utility service department says they are currently attending to the power outages.
City spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says investigations into the cause of the outage revealed that a conductor on a 33kv transformer at the Soshanguve substation burnt out.
"Technicians have managed to isolate the substation in order to effect the necessary repairs. It is not yet known as to when will the power supply be restored however, residents will be kept abreast on the possible restoration time."

The City has apologised to residents for the inconvenience that might arise from the interruption.
