PE woman who pointed gun at EFF wants to sue for wrongful arrest
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
Terry Price, the defence lawyer to Port Elizabeth resident Dianne Attwell, says they could take legal action against Police Minister Bheki Cele.

He believes Cele ordered Attwel’s arrest after her altercation with members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) at a local shopping centre.
Price says the EFF, Walmer Park Shopping Centre and the police may also be served with summons.
The Port Elizabeth woman was arrested this week for pointing a firearm at protesters outside a Clicks store.

Attwell appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Thursday morning.
Price says they will be making submissions to the National Prosecuting Authority to have the case withdrawn.
"We are strongly considering suing the police for unlawful and malicious arrest and Bheki Cele because the information we received is that the woman was arrested on the instructions of Cele.
"We are also considering suing Walmer Park (shopping centre) and the EFF".
Attwell’s case was postponed to November 6 for further investigation.
