Pedestrian dies in Gauteng collision

A pedestrian died after she was knocked down by a motorbike and two vehicles on the R59 in Meyerton, south of Johannesburg on Friday, paramedics said.
”It is understood that the biker collided with the pedestrian while she was crossing the road. Following that, a further two vehicles collided with the pedestrian,” said spokesman Russel Meiring.
”On arrival, paramedics found the lifeless body of the female lying in the slow lane of the road. Unfortunately the.pedestrian had already succumbed to her multiple fatal injuries.”
She was declared dead on the scene.
The motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries to his arm and legs, said Meiring.
