The University of South Africa (Unisa) says police have identified the person responsible for leaking second-semester exam papers.
A notice was sent to students on Friday confirming that exam papers for the second semester had been leaked.
Earlier this year the university confirmed that question papers scheduled to be written during the May/June 2019 exam had been compromised.

Unisa's spokesperson Martin Ramotshela says an arrest is imminent.
"It's quite unfortunate that it is recurring but we can say that a breakthrough is imminent with this particular case. Police have already identified the person at the centre of this illegal activity and they are hot on his trail now. An arrest can be made at any time soon.
"We actually want to appeal to students and the public at large that those who are aware of this illegal activities and aware of this particular individual they should alert the police or the university.”

Ramotshela says 17 modules have been written, but cannot say which ones have been affected.
"They are mainly in the field of accounting, on the field of economics and a few of them in law. At this stage, we are not at liberty to divulge what those modules because they are now being subjected to the final processes of investigation."
Measures are being put in place to ensure there is no repeat of the exam leak.
