Phala Phala case postponed to April
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The case against three suspects accused of theft at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm has been postponed to April for further investigations.
The suspects returned to the Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on Friday.
NPA Limpopo spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the state requested a postponement to finalise outstanding investigations.
"This involves the assistance of third parties, like cell phone records and video footage," she said.
Siblings Floriana and Ndilinasho Joseph face charges of housebreaking and theft.
Floriana worked as a domestic worker on the farm at the time of the theft.
The alleged mastermind, Imanuwela David, was denied bail in December after the court found him to be a flight risk.
David faces two counts of housebreaking, one count of conspiracy to commit housebreaking and money laundering.
He intends to plead not guilty.
