PHOTOS: Heavy mist leads to deadly crash
Three people died in a multi-vehicle collision on the N12
between Emalahleni and Delmas in Mpumalanga on Thursday morning.
It is believed the collision might have been cause mainly by misty conditions prevailing on that road.
Mpumalanga's Safety Community spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi, says three people died including a child.
"Three people have been killed due to injuries sustained from these collisions. The deceased include a child. One person sustained serious injuries," says Mmusi.
Police are on the scene and investigations continue.
Mmusi says motorists should use alternative routes, including the R555 between Ogies and Emalaheni in order to travel to and from Delmas.

UPDATE: 17 vehicles were involved in the multi-vehicle collision and they include 10 sedans, two articulated trucks, four light delivery vehicles and one minibus.
