[PHOTOS] Trucks block N3 at Van Reenen's Pass

The N3 Toll Concession says truck drivers have parked their vehicles on both sides of the carriageway - blocking access to motorists.  

At least 100 trucks embarked on a protest action in the early hours of the morning.

The concession's Con Roux has urged motorists to delay their trips or use alternative routes that include the R74 and the N11 near Newcastle.

It’s understood that the drivers are protesting against the employment of foreign nationals.

“Police members are present. We understand that at the moment the situation is calm, and the police will take control of the situation.”
