PICTURES: Woman and children escape torched home
A Limpopo woman and her three children had a narrow escape after their home was torched while they were sleeping.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says the woman was woken up by footsteps outside her home just before midnight.
“When she went to investigate, she was surprised by a man standing at the doorstep, pouring a liquid like substance over the house and then setting it alight. The house immediately caught fire.

“The victims somehow managed to jump out of the burning house and were all rushed to hospital with burn wounds. The motive for the incident is unknown at this stage but domestic violence cannot be ruled out.”
