A deal has been signed to have Pikitup employees back at work, the company and SA Municipal Workers' Union (Samwu) said on Wednesday.
The City of Johannesburg's waste management company and Samwu called on the 1791 strikers to return to work without delay.
They admitted guilt and accepted various levels of warnings based on previous misdemeanours on file, the two parties said in a joint statement.
On Friday, a labour court interdict halted a planned full-blown strike by Pikitup workers. About a month ago, workers started a go-slow in protest against new measures the company introduced.
Their grievances included the signing of a work attendance register, the suspension of working half days on pay day, and of using company resources to travel to and from work.
Last week, Pikitup serviced some areas affected by the strike. Spokeswoman Desiree Ntshingila said some areas could not be attended to because of intimidation. She said at the time a no-work, no-pay principle would apply.
