Police headquarters in Pretoria to remain closed
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The national police headquarters in Pretoria will remain closed on Friday after an official tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.
National police spokesperson Vish Naidoo says the building was evacuated to decontamination on Thursday.
"It was decided by management that the building will remain close today, just to make sure the decontamination process has been done thoroughly.
"So that when the members return they find a decontaminated, sanitised, and a deep cleansed place without a possibility of the virus remaining.”
Naidoo says screen and testing of officials are ongoing and no new positive case of Covid-19 has been reported.
