Pregnant woman killed by taxi in Gqeberha

Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a pregnant woman was hit by a taxi.
Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the accident happened on Sunday afternoon when the 38-year-old deceased crossed the street on Stanford Road.
She says Gelvandale police responded to the scene between Gale road and Pienaar Street.
Janse van Rensburg says the taxi driver was unable to stop or swerve out in time and collided with the deceased.
She was identified as Rochelle Pieterson.
