Pretoria man arrested for attacking homeless person

A 40-year-old man is facing a charge of attempted murder after allegedly attacking a homeless person in Muckleneuk.
Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says the suspect is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Friday morning.
Makhubele says at this stage the suspect cannot be linked to the killings of five homeless people in the Muckleneuk and Sunnyside areas.
"The police investigation continues," says Makhubele.
