Protesters block traffic in Diepkloof
Protesters on Chris Hani Road near the N12 in Diepkloof were obstructing traffic getting out of Soweto on Monday morning, Johannesburg metro police said.
"They are protesting over not having houses," Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.
"Traffic is affected."
He said there were no reports of violence but motorists were urged to use Elias Motsoaledi Road as an alternative route.
"It's just an obstruction to traffic," Minnaar said.
