ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the party's Eastern Cape provincial conference in East London on Monday.
The two-day conference, which started on Saturday, had to be extended by another day because of unexpected delays.
On Sunday afternoon, the conference had to adjourn briefly due to a stalemate over credentials.
Nominations were opened just before midnight on Sunday.
There was another dispute when plenary chair and PTT member Mlungisi Mvoko allegedly refused to allow Andile Lungisa to speak.
