Ramaphosa asks Muslim community to pray for ANC
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa has asked the Muslim community to pray for the ANC ahead of its policy conference this week.
Ramaphosa attended the Eid prayer and celebrations at Lenasia Eidgar, South of Joburg on Monday morning.
"Today we ask religious communities in our country to offer a special prayer to the ANC which is going to beginning its policy conference during this coming weekend.
"We ask you to pray for the leadership of the ANC and for the membership of the ANC so that - as they deliberate on the policies that will guide our country - they should have wisdom and vision," he said.
The Eid prayer and celebration is one of the largest assemblies of the Muslim community in South Africa and represents a day of accomplishment after a month of fasting.
"I wish all Muslims in South Africa the very best and I say to you 'Eid Mubarak'."
