Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
President Cyril Ramaphosa and Deputy President David Mabuza have received the report by an advisory panel into land reform and agriculture.
“We are very happy that we have received the end of the journey ready to present the report,” Mabuza said on Tuesday.
The panel was mandated to review, research and suggest models for government to implement a fair and equitable land reform process that redresses the injustices of the past.
“IMC initiated a number of steps towards a land audit that is going to tell us how much land is available for redistribution, especially land that is under the ownership government, public entities.”

Mabuza said the report, which took eight months to complete, will first be tabled in cabinet before being publicly released.
The ANC has vowed that the sixth parliament will push through the amendment to Section 25 of the Constitution to allow for the expropriation of land without compensation.
A Parliamentary ad-hoc committee is currently probing a series of submissions on the legal implications.
