Ramaphosa spoke in Delmas on Saturday in his capacity as president of the ANC, where he took part in the party's Letsema campaign.

Ramaphosa fielded several questions related to the theft of a large amount of foreign currency at his farm in Limpopo.

"Parliament has decided that it will set up a panel and that panel should be allowed to do its work," Ramaphosa said.

"I have vowed to cooperate fully with the processes that are unfolding and all that must now be concluded.

"In the end it is the ANC that is the governing party of the country. I am just a mere individual that has been employed there.

"I am not indespensable - the ANC is what really matters in this whole process."

The president also addressed the matter of a possible leadership change in Gauteng, saying he cannot pre-empt any announcement on the future of Gauteng Premier David Makhura.

The provincial executive committee of the ANC in Gauteng met on Friday, where the possibility of Makhura making way for newly-elected provincial chair Panyaza Lesufi reportedy was discussed.

"I will be waiting for a report of what has transpired," Ramaphosa said.

"This is what happens with all our provinces, whenever they want to change anyone. They come and give us the reasons, explain everything in full, and table every argument.

"We then mull over that and a decision is then taken. I don't want to pre-empt anything, since this is exactly how we work."
