Rand Water gears up to upgrade Tshwane bulk water meters
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
Rand Water is set to replace and upgrade some of the bulk water meters that supply water to various reservoirs in the City of Tshwane this week.
This comes two months after the bulk water utility completed its five-week-long infrastructure maintenance in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and the Northwest.
The maintenance work affected Tshwane's Palmiet and Mapleton Systems.

Tshwane's spokesperson Lindela Mashigo has urged residents to use water sparingly, as supply may be interrupted during the upkeep period.
"Areas that might be affected by the interruption are those that are serviced by the Mooikloof water meter, which will be on Wednesday from 8 am until 1 pm, Rosslyn North water meter on Thursday, Hatherley water meter on Friday, and Laudium water meter which is scheduled for Monday".
Mashigo has assured residents that affected reservoirs will be filled before the maintenance work.
