Reservoirs isolated in search for missing Soweto boy
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Johannesburg Water has isolated specific reservoirs in and around Soweto as part of a continuing search for the 6-year-old boy who fell down a manhole last week.
Khayalethu Magadla has been missing for over a week after he fell down an open manhole while playing with his friends at Dlamini Park.
Johannesburg Water spokesperson Seipati Nyawuza says the isolation of specific reservoir was the remaining option after the technology used last week failed to yield any results.

“The entity will be isolating specific reservoirs and direct feeds, as well as plugging localised sewer lines in order to reduce the flow into the larger sewer network. This will allow for the search and rescue team to inspect the sewer line.”
The following reservoirs and direct feeds will be affected on Wednesday:
Doornkop West reservoir, Chiawelo reservoir, Lenasia Cosmos reservoir, Lenasia Hospital Hill reservoir, Lenasia High Level reservoir, Gemsbok direct feed and Protea Glen Direct feed.
