Limpopo murder

A 72-year-old pensioner and a 15-year-old youth have been arrested after they allegedly stabbed and killed his wife at Nkowa Nkowa, outside Tzaneen, in Limpopo.

Police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe said Tsakane Victory Rachilingane, a retired nurse, was assaulted with sharp objects until she died.

“This incident took place last night (Thursday) in their family home when it is alleged that the two suspects jointly assaulted the deceased with various objects and stabbed her with sharp objects to death,” said Ngoepe.

When police arrive at the scene, the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood next to the door inside a locked room with both her legs and hands tied with robes and having multiple wounds throughout her body.

Preliminary investigations revealed that this was a domestic related incident but the motive behind this killing was still unknown police said.

“We would like to advise and encourage members of the community to get help from the relevant authorities in case of any domestic related dispute, instead of killing each other.”

The suspects are set to appear in the Nkowa Nkowa Magistrate’s Court outside Tzaneen on Tuesday on a charge of murder.

Police investigations were still continuing.
