SA to crouch, touch and pause to hear if there will be load shedding on Sunday

South Africans will have to wait for a while longer to know the status of electricity supply on Sunday when the Springboks take on Japan in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.
On Saturday, Dikatso Mothae said the power utility would be assessing the state of electricity supply and demand later in the afternoon and provide feedback on whether load shedding would be implemented for the rest of the weekend.
The rolling blackouts made a sudden return this week with Stage 1 being effective on Saturday from 9am unitl 11pm.

Earlier in the week, Mothae said Eskom did discuss the rugby over the weekend when they had to implement load shedding.
"Obviously we would certainly want to ensure that South Africans are able to watch the rugby without load shedding," she said.
On Friday, President Cyril Ramaphosa acknowledged South Africans' frustrations with ongoing rolling blackouts as Eskom battles with electricity supply and demand.
"We've been very depressed with the electricity," said Ramaphosa.
