SA stock market charms foreign investors
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
The International Monetary Fund’s latest forecast lowered South Africa’s growth for 2015 to 2.1%.
Despite the lowered forecast, high unemployment rate, the chaos at Eskom and the structural constraints facing the economy, financial markets continue to soar.
This is due to foreign investors who are positive about South Africa’s financial markets.
Owner of MLAX Consulting, Marius Strydom, says the main reasons investors come to South Africa is because the stock markets are considered lower risk than other emerging markets.
Strydom explains the risk to investment and how to keep attracting foreign investors.
