SACP Imbizo underway
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
The South African Communist Party (SACP) is hosting its National Imbizo at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg this morning.

The Imbizo will be attended by alliance partners and a wide range of social formations.
The gathering comes amid a plethora of political and socio economic issues plaguing the country.
The SACP wants a wide ranging discussion with society on what needs to be done, ahead of its conference in July.
The SACP's Secretary General, Blade Nzimande, is expected to deliver the keynote address along with the African National Congresses' Secretary General, Gwede Mantashe.
Tensions have been high between the ANC and SACP in the past weeks, following President Jacob Zuma's cabinet reshuffle.
The SACP has since called for the President to resign.
Last week the SACP's second Secretary General Solly Mapaila called on the ANC to ensure that the decision to have Brian Molefe reinstated as Eskom CEO, be reversed.
News broke that Brian Molefe would be returning to the power utility as CEO after an agreement could not be reached with the board, over his payout.
Molefe was also implicated in former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's state of capture report last year.
The SACP has again called for a judicial commission of inquiry into state capture.
