Sebokeng man kills mother, sister in stabbing spree
A 22-year-old man from Sebokeng is in hospital under police guard after killing his mother and 4-year-old sister and injuring two of his other siblings.
The suspect then attempted to take his own life in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police spokesperson Teboho Lephoto says officers arrived at the scene to find the suspect seriously injured.
"He stabbed his 43-year-old mother and 4-year-old sister to death. The suspect then severely stabbed his 16-year-old brother and 9-year-old sister.”
The two siblings who survived are in a critical condition in hospital.
The suspect is expected to face two charges of murder and two charges of attempted murder upon his release from hospital.
